Concert Pulse: Eric Church Logs $2.9M Average; Disturbed, John Prine, Hombres G Enter

The big news on the Global Concert Pulse chart this week is Eric Church, who entered the chart at No. 2 with a whopping $2.9 million average gross per market appearance.
Church reported eight market appearance with an average ticket price of $97.62 and an average attendance of 29,729 per market appearance. 
Pollstar wrote about Church’s Messina Touring Group-produced Double Down tour in this week’s Boxoffice Insider. The run staged multiple nights in Kansas City, Mo.; Detroit; Minneapolis; Boston; St. Louis, Mo.; and Omaha, Neb. Its total gross currently sits at $21 million with 208,422 seats sold. 
Disturbed was the next new entry on the chart, at the No. 34 position. The rockers averaged a $439,726 gross per market appearance with an average of 7,243 tickets. Plenty of shows topped the $500K mark, including stops in Laval, Quebec; Uncasville, Conn.; and Minneapolis. 
Disturbed is topping the lineup of Rocklahoma this year with another new entry to this week’s chart, Shinedown, who came on at No. 41.
Latin act “Huevos Revueltos” / Hombres G re-entered the chart at No. 51 with an average gross of $285,550. The band was averaging 8,641 tickets per market appearance with an average price of $33. 
John Prine also found his way back onto the chart this week, at No. 73, with an average gross of $187,806. 
Prine was featured on the cover of Pollstar and Holly Gleason wrote a glowing review of his performance at Ryman Auditorium last year.
Other new entries on the chart include Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons (No. 48); Rezz (No. 76); TobyMac (No. 83); Lake Street Dive (No. 89); Lily Allen (No. 96); Chris Tomlin (No. 98); and John Crist at lucky No. 100.
