Hip-Hop Tour Showcases Young Stars

06:06 AM, Friday 5/4/01 Add |   |

Some of hip-hop's fastest-rising stars are set to take to the road this summer on a package tour, including Mystikal, Ginuwine, Jaheim, Jagged Edge, and Public Announcement.

Sponsored by Seagram, the caravan begins June 12 in Kansas City, and is set to roll through medium-sized venues throughout the country . The current schedule brings the tour to the West Coast - Los Angeles and Oakland - for two dates in August.

The itinerary is still being filled and so is the lineup.

Topping the multi-artist tour is New Orleans native Mystikal. The onetime No Limit stablemate is now part of the Dirty South family, after breaking out of the underground rap scene with Unpredictable and Ghetto Fabulous. His star continues to rise with the release of Let's Get Ready and the MTV staple "Shake Yo' Ass."
