Along with the five bands, every concert will feature a local opening act sponsored by the Jägermeister Band Program. The program seeks out and promotes up-and-coming talent.
"We were thrilled with last year's tour and evidently the fans were too," Lee Einsidler for the American importers of Jägermeister said. "This year, we're ready to crank it up to a higher level."
The tour planners may be cranking things up, but they're still keeping ticket prices low. For about $20, concert-goers can not only catch all five bands, but have a chance at various raffle prizes and giveaways. Up for grabs are CDs, customized guitars, amps, shirts and other goodies.
If all that isn't enough to lure the crowds, Jägermeister will also premiere freestyle motocross footage from members of Metal Mulisha. Need we mention the famous Jägerettes will also be on hand, along with the Jägermeister Buses?
An additional tour with a different lineup is slated for the fall, although nothing more has been announced.
Last year's inaugural tour featured Drowning Pool, Coal Chamber, Ill Nino, and 40 Below Summer.
