Along with the upcoming September 13 release of the group's fourth full-length album, The Weight is a Gift, the Brooklynites will play a slew of North American gigs beginning October 4 at Washington, D.C.'s Black Cat. The indie rockers are on the road through October 23, where they'll play San Diego's Casbah.
While in their hometown, the boys will play a two-night stand at NYC's Bowery Ballroom, before hitting Boston; Chicago; Minneapolis; Seattle; San Francisco; Los Angeles and Portland, Ore.
Canadian dates include gigs at Montreal's La Sala Rossa (October 11), Toronto's Lee's Palace (12) and Vancouver's Media Club (18).
In August, Nada will ride the waves through European and the U.K., including visits to Germany, Switzerland, England, Ireland and Spain. In the past, the trio - guitar/vocals Matthew Caws, bass/vocals Daniel Lorca and drums/vocals Ira Elliot - has enjoyed much success with fans oversees.
Earlier this year, Nada Surf supported dates with Los Angeles actor-rockers Rilo Kiley for several North American gigs.
About two years ago, the trio toured behind its last album, Let Go, alongside respected acts including Spoon, The Shins, The Long Winters, Supergrass, and Death Cab For Cutie.
Speaking of Death Cab, the group's guitarist, Chris Walla, produced Nada's upcoming record.
Following the release of The Weight is a Gift, the trio's Web site assures fans globally that "the band will tour a large part of the world once the album is in stores." Stay tuned.
