Twenty acts are now confirmed for the 15th anniversary edition of San Francisco's Noise Pop festival, with many more to be announced in the coming months.
Sebadoh, John Vanderslice, Ted Leo / Pharmacists, and Jolie Holland will perform along with new additions including Vic Chesnutt, Josh Ritter, Clinic, Hella, French Kicks, Earlimart, and Will Sheff of Okkervil River.
Sebadoh is to perform in its "classic" lineup of Lou Barlow, Jason Loewenstein and Eric Gaffney as part of a spring reunion tour.
Noise Pop 2007 is slated to run from February 27 to March 4, with more than 20,000 fans and at least 100 bands expected. Festival badges, which give fans entry to all concerts and other events, and individual tickets are on sale now at noisepop.com/2007.
Noise Pop started with one night and five bands in 1993 and has grown to include a film festival, art exhibitions, comedy shows and educational programs. Next year's edition will feature the inaugural Noise Pop Expo, a two-day event with panel discussions, a design fair, industry/tech/business booths and more.
Organizers are also planning gallery art shows, literary events and "some rollicking after-parties," according to a press release.
Last year's Noise Pop lineup included The Flaming Lips, Feist, We Are Scientists, Wolfmother, Smoosh, and Vetiver.
