The Rentals will warm up with a handful of small shows in California and Nevada, including The Dome in Bakersfield (June 26), The Belmont in Fresno (June 28) and Beauty Bar in Las Vegas (June 30).
Beginning July 7 the band will take up residency at Spaceland in Los Angeles, performing at the club every Saturday through the end of the month.
The full tour kicks off August 1 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and will hit 40 cities around the country through the end of September, including Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., New Orleans, Dallas and San Diego.
Opening duties for the first part of the tour will be shared by Goldenboy, and Copeland will join both bands in August.

Life, which is due to drop August 14, is the first new material from the band in more than eight years. The album includes three new songs - "Last Romantic Day," "Little Bit Of You In Everything" and "Life Without A Brain" - along with a new arrangement of the band's classic "Sweetness And Tenderness." The EP was born while the band was writing and rehearsing new songs for their forthcoming LP, which is expected in early 2008.
Sharp first indicated he intended to reform The Rentals in October of 2005 on the 10th anniversary of the band's first release.
The new lineup, which was announced in the spring of 2006, includes original backup vocalist Rachel Harden, along with Sara Radle on vocals and multiple instruments, Ben Pringle (from Nerf Herder) on synth, Lauren Chipman on viola and vocals and Dan Joeright on drums.
The revamped band toured the U.S., Japan and Europe last year.
