A Tribute To The Captain And The Cowboy

The music of Elton John and Bernie Taupin will be honored October 10 during a benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The evening will feature 20 artists performing songs written by John and Taupin.

The lineup includes Aimee Mann, Ryan Shaw, the Byrds' Roger McGuinn, Phish's Page McConnell, Phoebe Snow, Jill Sobule, the Pernice Brothers, Raul Malo, Joshua Radin, Lizz Wright and many more.

Regular tickets are available through the Carnegie Hall box office. VIP tickets, which include a pre-show reception, are available through www.musicforyouth.org.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Music For Youth, the UJA-Federation of New York's initiative that supports music-education programs for underprivileged and at-risk young people.
