Dean & Britta By The Numbers

04:29 AM, Wednesday 12/26/07 Add |   |

Indie duo Dean Wareham & Britta Phillips, who are finishing out the year with a run of shows in Europe, will head out in the U.S. early next year for a string of co-headlining dates with singer/songwriter Keren Ann.

The tour kicks off February 7 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and will hit clubs and theatres across the country through the end of the month.

Highlights include stops at the Lakeshore Theatre in Chicago (February 10), Triple Door in Seattle (February 15), Yoshi's in San Francisco (February 18), Cactus Café in Austin (February 23), Black Cat in Washington, D.C., and the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, N.Y. (February 29).

Tickets for a few shows are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Dean & Britta, both former members of indie-pop band Luna and known for their work scoring films such as "The Squid and the Whale" and "Margot at the Wedding," released their Zöe/Rounder debut, Back Numbers, in February.

The album, which was produced by Toni Visconti (T-Rex, Boomtown Rats, David Bowie), features original tracks like "Wait For Me" and the eulogy for a dead bunny "Crystal Blue R.I.P.," along with covers of Donovan's "Teen Angel" and Lee Hazlewood's "You Turned My Head Around."
