The Story So Far

10:06 AM, Wednesday 2/27/08 Add |   |

Yo! We have a lot of info crammed into this report. Like new dates for Roger Waters, Brian Wilson, The Flaming Lips, even Prince. And it's all right here in your first update of the day!

Only two new dates for Roger Waters, but if we ruled the world every new show listing for Roger would come with its own banner pop-up and trumpet fanfare. Today we added May 15 in Liverpool at the Echo Arena and May 18 in London at the O2 Arena.

And if we ruled the world every southern California beach would have a statue of Brian Wilson looking out over the surf, plus a national holiday commemorating his birthday. But today we'll have to settle for this shout-out spotlighting his latest U.K. show additions. Dates include June 28 in London, June 29 in Ipswich and then it's back to London on July 1.

And once we ruled the globe with our own style of benign musical despotism, we'd find a place in our cabinet for The Flaming Lips. Like maybe Secretary of Excellent Entertainment, or something. New dates include May 23 in Chillicothe, IL, and June 6 in Lawrence, KS.

But we'll never rule the world. At least, not while Prince is performing. His Purpleness just won't allow it. However, The Artist Formerly Known As A Symbol has a Dublin gig - June 16 at Croke Park.

During the last couple of hours while plotting our plans for world domination we also updated the schedules for Sister Carol, Pretty In Stereo, Notorious, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Hot Buttered Rum, Hiromi, John Sebastian, Jon Dee Graham, Gallagher, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Congress Of A Crow, Brenda Lee, Toubab Krewe, White Lion and Zack Walther and the Cronkites.

And that's it for now. But we'll have more new tour data for you in your Midday Update, scheduled for around 12 noon, from Pollstar.com!
