Some 40 acts will perform at the festival, which like its Web parent, Pitchfork Media is all about presenting the best in cutting-edge rock, hip-hop, dance, jazz, and experimental music.
The first acts to be announced for the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival include:"Don't Look Back" featuring Public Enemy performing "It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back", Animal Collective, Spiritualized, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), M. Ward, Boris, Vampire Weekend, Dizzee Rascal, No Age, Atlas Sound, Fleet Foxes, Extra Golden, and El Guincho.
Tickets will be available via pitchforkmusicfestival.com beginning March 12 at noon Central time. Tickets are $30 per day, with a limited number of two- and three-day passes priced at $50 and $65 respectively
