The Apples in stereo is gearing up to hit the road this summer in support of its recent release, Electronic Projects For Musicians, a collection of rarities and B-sides.

Offering support on the tour are Poison Control Center, Big Fresh and Earlimart.

The jaunt kicks off July 18th at Headliner's in Louisville, Ky., and makes stops in Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania before wrapping up with the band's return performance on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" August 4th.

Electronic Projects includes the track "Stephen, Stephen," which the band performed on Colbert's show in 2006.

The Apples' Robert Schneider has also contributed a cover of bluegrass standard "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" to the soundtrack of Mike Myers' latest film, "The Love Guru."
