Son Of Hip Hop Live!

04:08 AM, Tuesday 8/26/08 Add |   |

Talib Kweli and David Banner will hit the road together this fall to co-headline the sophomore outing of the Hip Hop Live! Tour.

The 19-city run, which features 10-piece outfit Rhythm Roots All Stars as backing band for all artists, kicks off September 28 at Canes Bar & Grill in San Diego and wraps October 25 at Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York City.

Other stops on the schedule include House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif. (September 30), Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore. (October 3), Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo. (October 8), Bluebird Nightclub in Bloomington, Ind. (October 13), Orange Peel in Asheville, N.C. (October 19), and Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia (October 23).

Additional dates are expected.

Support for the first two thirds of the trek comes from Little Brother, with B.O.B. stepping in for the last week.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Last year's Hip Hop Live! Tour featured Ghostface Killah, Rakim and Brother Ali back by the All Star and sold out nearly all of its shows.
