It's just after 12 noon (Fresno Daylight Time) and we have new dates for Delbert McClinton, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Susan Tedeschi and Yonder Mountain String Band, and links to very interesting items about music festivals becoming family events, Marty Stuart launching his own country music TV show, the BBC launching a Web music service, Microsoft handing out free Zunes to political convention delegates, buying a piece of your favorite band and whether video game manufacturers need major label music.

Link-O-Rama …

Remember a couple of weeks ago when Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman said video game makers weren't paying enough to use the label's music in games like "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band?" Now some people are wondering if the gaming industry really needs Warner Music Group - Gamasutra.com

What do delegates to the Democratic and Republican National Conventions have in common? That is, other than a week whooping it up? Delegates to each convention get free, politically-themed Zunes from Microsoft - GearLog

Got a favorite band? How would you like to own a piece of them? - The Telegraph U.K.

In the tradition of "The Porter Wagoner Show," "Flatt & Scruggs" and "Hee Haw," Marty Stuart to launch his own country music TV show - Associated Press
