Wu-Tang Clan Rolls Out New Dates

Posted on Saturday October 25, 2008 at 06:11 AM Add |

Iconic hip hop outfit Wu-Tang Clan has announced a new round of shows in support of 2007's 8 Diagrams.

The group will launch the new trek November 29 at Roseland Theatre in Portland, Ore., and drop in on clubs and theatres across the States through mid-January.

Stops include Showbox SoDo in Seattle (December 1), The Marquee in Tempe, Ariz. (December 7), House of Blues in Chicago (December 14), Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia (December 19), Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City (December 23), Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vt. (January 4), N Club in Greensboro, N.C. (January 9), and Level 2 in Columbia, S.C. (January 13).

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Earlier this month, the Clan released a concert DVD, Live at Montreux 2007, which was filmed at last year's Montreaux Jazz Festival. The DVD features the full Clan and includes Wu-fam members Cappadonna, Streetlife and DJ Mathematics.

"Wu: The Story of The Wu-Tang Clan" premieres November 13 on the BET cable network. The show, which will also be released as a DVD November 18, covers the group's rise from the Staten Island projects and includes archival footage and interviews with surviving members.

A companion soundtrack CD will be released the same day.
