The Led Thread

Posted on Thursday November 20, 2008 at 03:00 AM 23 |

You’ve already heard the rumors. What’s more, some of them are true. Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham have been jamming with different singers as they try to decide who should tour with them. No, they won’t call it Led Zeppelin, but we’ll leave naming suggestions for another thread. Today we want to know who you think should sing with Page, Jones and Bonham.

I'll go with Chris Cornell. No matter what you may think of him, he definately has the voice to belt out some Zep style tracks.

Pat Monahan (of Train). Hands down.  Go find some clips of him covering Zeppelin.  Apparently he used to front an LZ cover band.  He's fantastic.

David Coverdale has always wanted to be Robert Plant.  Maybe this is his chance.

Plant or no one at all.

Don't mess up one of the greatest bands ever!

Miles from Alter Bridge would be the best match. Second choice would be Jeff Scott Soto. Sass isn't a bad idea, Robert used to dress like a chick, she could use his old wardrobe. Need a fresh cucumber though.

well if they don't want to call it Zep, then they could keep a similar name

and possibly land a corporate sponsorship for the tour, at the same time

How about....." Goodyear Blimp "  catchy huh...

and there's this decent singer guy, named Sammy that could probably

    do a good job

Newsflash to Ashley Z: Most of the best rock music came out about 40 years ago. Sounds like you have a lot of great music to catch up on! I hope you have some free time.

Go with a female singer.  If they're gonna tour, make it interesting and fresh.
