Best live show was definately Nine Inch Nails. Their Lights in the Sky show was really something to behold. It was by far the best show I've seen in my lifetime, and definately the best show this year. The people who saw it know its true.

Nine Inch Nails "Lights in the Sky" by a long shot and I went to at least 120 shows this year and that one was the best one by far.  The light show and the intensity of the performance was brilliant and being the 16th time I have seen them since 1990 it was one the best shows ever.

Pearl Jam's show at Bonnaroo. I am almost 60 and saw many of the greats at the Fillmore East, etc. I would have to rate this Pearl Jam show among my Top Ten of all time. If you don't believe me ask Kanye West!

    2) Cruefest. Been a fan of the crue since i was a kid. Was my 2nd time seeing all 5 original members. MICK MARS IS A ROCK GUITAR GOD!!!! loved buckcherry and papa roach's set. Papa Roach stole the show from all other opening acts. The Crue was DEADLY!!!!!!

    3) NIN....The production was all that fans expected and more. ALL HAIL TRENT REZNOR!!!!

NIN was a  knock-out, but the lights were the star of that show.  Radiohead was outstanding as well.  My favorite show of the year was DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist.  Two of the best turntablists on the planet scratching, spinning, & mixing nothing but originally pressed 45s with surveillance cameras to show they weren't cheating.  Unbelievably fantastic!

Warren Haynes playing in Sept. at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch, a 200 seat venue with perfect acoustics. He played a solo acoustic set then came out with Jorma and Jack Cassidy for set two. Amazing, just amazing! One of the best shows I've seen in 40+ years of concert-going. m

top concerts I saw was RUSH  after 30 yrs. they can still put on a great show. Not too many bands can play for 3hrs. every night and play like they can. Another highlight of mine had to be the return of IRON MAIDEN. Bringing back the world slavery stage was amazing and they sounded just as amazing as they did back in 1985. Looking forward to see METALLICA as well as many others metal act in 2009!!
