Erick Purkhiser, better known as Lux Interior, the lead singer for The Cramps, died because of an existing heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in California Feb. 4, according to a statement.

Always loved seeing them live, they played SF for Halloween for many years and it was a great time! So sorry that Lux is gone and I wish Ivy well. RIP Lux

    OMG....NOT LUX!!!!!

I met The Cramps a few years back when they played the Showbox in Seattle after seeing them I don't know how many times and listening to them since...well.....The Human Fly.  Lux & Ivy are really really nice people.   This is about as bad as when John Bohnam, Joe Strummer or John Lennon died.   Defnitely an end of an era.  Lux & The Cramps will be missed
