Morrissey, who was scheduled to kick off a worldwide trek in support of Years of Refusal this weekend, has canceled four shows in Florida.

Tour promoter Live Nation issued a statement saying the singer had fallen ill and was forced to pull gigs in Boca Raton, Orlando, Jacksonville and Saint Petersburg.

Moz is expected to recover in time for his next scheduled appearance: March 6 at House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Fans holding tickets for canceled shows should obtain refunds at the original point of purchase.
