Fuse Runs With Run DMC

02:32 PM, Tuesday 3/10/09 Add |   |

Music-oriented cable TV channel Fuse is lighting up your Wednesday TV watching with a very special program highlighting one of this year’s inductees into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

“Kings of Rock: Rock Hall Inductees ‘09” focuses on Run DMC, and serves up enough info, talk and chat to satisfy even the most discerning rap fan.

Run DMC occupies a most unusual place in rap history. As a rap group the trio of Reverend Run, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Jam-Master Jay is considered one of the greatest and most influential hip-hop acts ever to rhyme on stage. Plus, the group’s collaboration with Aerosmith on the latter’s revision of “Walk This Way” not only crossed musical and racial lines, but also helped turn mainstream America onto rap.

“Kings of Rock: Rock Hall Inductees ‘09” stars surviving members Run and DMC as the duo take fans down the memory lane, talking about everything from hit songs like “King of Rock” to their own signature style of Kangols and Adidas.

Even if you know everything there is to know about Run DMC, the chances are you’ll learn something new when this program airs.

Oh, yes, the airtimes. “Kings of Rock” premieres Wednesday evening at 9 p.m. and will also air on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 9 p.m. All times are Eastern and Pacific.

“Kings of Rock: Rock Hall Inductees ‘09” is part of Fuse’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction coverage. The cable channel will broadcast the induction ceremony live from Cleveland’s Public Hall on Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m.
