A Peek At The Bumbershoot Lineup

The first round of performers announced for this year’s outing of Seattle’s three-day music and arts festival is an eclectic mix that includes acts like Sheryl Crow, De La Soul, Katy Perry and MSTRKRFT.

The 39th annual fest, which takes place over Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 5-7), will also offer three stages of comedy, along with authors, artists, dance and theatre, the 1 Reel Film Festival, crafts and Youngershoot, a family oriented version of the main event.

Other acts confirmed so far include Modest Mouse, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Raphael Saadiq, Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, The Long Winters, Sly & Robbie & the Taxi Gang, World Party, Roy Ayers, Common Market, Uh Huh Her, Dave Alvin and The Guilty Women, Eric Hutchinson, No Age, Matt & Kim, Dead Confederate, The Cave Singers, Swollen Members,Vieux Farka Touré, Lenka, Gang Gang Dance, Todd Snider, Holy F**k, DJ Spooky, Iglu & Hartly, Low Vs. Diamond, Sera Cahoone, Eleni Mandell, Carrie Rodriguez, The Honey Brothers, Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head, Extra Golden, Cordero, Forgive Durden, Hey Marseilles and Adrian Xavier.

For fans watching their wallets, three-day passes are a real bargain at $80 through August 21, when the price increases to $120.

Single-day tickets go on sale July 21 and are $35 through August 21 and $50 after.
