Fuse To Air Rock Hall Induction Ceremonies

12:01 PM, Friday 4/3/09 1 |   |

Metallica, Run-D.M.C., Jeff Beck and Bobby Womack are among the artists being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Saturday night, and Fuse has your front row seat.

Fuse is the Hall’s exclusive TV partner for the induction ceremony with the cable channel covering the event live from Cleveland’s Public Hall Saturday night beginning at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

What’s Fuse bringing to the party? Sure, there’s the basic telecast consisting of the stars you know as well as the usual music industry suits grabbing some face time on the cameras. However, the Fuse telecast will also include commentary from Steven Smith and Jared Cotter as the two hosts discuss the significance of each inductee as well as the induction process.

However, the Rock Hall Induction telecast is only part of the experience. Over at fuse.tv you can vote for the greatest rock band of all time and enter to win the entire Metallica catalog autographed by members of the band.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without utilizing this year’s buzz technology, namely Twitter. Fuse will send update tweets from the ceremony as well as excerpts from Fuse originals “Kings of Rock Featuring Run-D.M.C.” and “Metallica: In Their Own Words” plus other Fuse original material. Furthermore, the tweets don’t stop when the induction ceremonies wrap, but continue through April courtesy of mobile partners VSnax and Joost.com.

So crank up that ol’ TV and boot up your computer. The party starts tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. on Fuse, making it a Saturday night worth staying home for.
