If Susan Boyle doesn’t end up the winner of “Britain’s Got Talent,” she can always get a little career advice from fellow “Talent” alum Faryl Smith.

Smith, who was the favorite to take home the big prize going into the finals but finished outside the top three, recently made history in the U.K.

Her debut release, Faryl, shattered the record for fastest-selling solo classical debut previously held by Charlotte Church.

The singer’s contract with Universal Classics and Jazz was reportedly for more than £2 million: Not bad for someone who’s still in middle school.

Now Smith has her sight set on the States, with her album scheduled for release here May 5.

You can judge for yourself if all the buzz it warranted when Smith drops in on Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday.
