Austin City Limits Lineup Announced

This year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival lineup was announced today with headliners including Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys and Kings of Leon.

The eighth edition of the festival takes place Oct. 2-4 in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The event includes 130 bands playing on eight stages, showcasing genres from pop to country to indie rock to hip-hop, folk, reggae, blues, gospel and bluegrass.

Additional artists that will be playing in the Texas sun include Ben Harper and Relentless7, Thievery Corporation, John Legend, The Dead Weather, Levon Helm Band, Ghostland Observatory, Sonic Youth and Mos Def.

There’s also Toadies, Flogging Molly, The B-52s, Lily Allen, Citizen Cope, Arctic Monkeys, The Decemberists, Coheed and Cambria, Andrew Bird and Girl Talk.

The lineup also includes Sound Tribe Sector 9, Phoenix, Bassnectar, Bon Iver, !!!, Avett Brothers, The Airborne Toxic Event, Medeski Martin & Wood,Clutch, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Grizzly Bear.

Early bird 3-day passes and advance 3-day passes have already sold out but regular 3-day passes are available for $185 (Service fees included!).

For fans wanting the luxury treatment, VIP 3-day passes can be yours for $850. Here’s what being a VIP is all about – VIP Grove access, which includes food servings daily, gourmet happy hour with guest chef tastings, beer, wine, water and specialty drinks. There’s also an ACL mini spa and misting area, shade and relaxing seating in the VIP Grove, air conditioned restrooms and a VIP parking pass.

    It's nice to see a decent line-up from ACL once again. It's been a few years since we've been, but will be attending this year. It's not the balls out Rothbury, but then again, it's a different crowd. The main thing that sets ACL apart from the other major festivals is that it's not a camping event, so there are no balls out late night shows and the acts tend to appeal to the larger audience and not just those interested in goo and light sticks.
