Piano Man To The Max

03:01 PM, Tuesday 5/19/09 Add |   |

Singer-songwriter/MC/pianist/producer Gonzales kept himself busy last weekend with a little performance that earned him a Guinness World Record.

Although Gonzales is known for his collaborations with fellow Canadians such as Feist, Peaches and Mocky, and has also teamed up with Jamie Lidell and Buck 65 and is a member of the Berlin hip hop band Puppetmastaz, on Saturday and Sunday he took to the stage by himself at the Theatre Cine 13 in Paris.

More than 27 straight hours and 300 consecutive songs on the piano later, he had claimed the Guinness World Record for the longest public solo performance, according to NME.com.

Clips of the performance are available at ustream.TV and Arte.fr plans to broadcast the entire concert. A documentary about Gonzales’ record-breaking feat is also underway.
