Another Day, Another Canceled Gig For Amy Winehouse

Posted on Friday May 22, 2009 at 02:01 PM 2 |

It’s time to pull another date from the Amy Winehouse concert schedule. This time it’s the May 31st appearance scheduled at London’s O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire.

A message on the venue’s Web site stated Winehouse was sorry for pulling out of the date.

“Amy Winehouse’s management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Sunday 31st May. Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets for the shows.”

The message goes on to say the event, which was to celebrate Island Records’ 50th anniversary and included performances by Toots & The Maytals and I Blame Coco, has been canceled and ticket holders can receive refunds at point-of-purchase.

Although no official reason was given for the cancellation, London’s Daily Mirror reports Winehouse was taken to a hospital on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia last week after complaining of chest pains.

Earlier this month Winehouse performed at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival. However, the “Rehab” singer cut her set short, blaming poor weather conditions.

Maybe if we stop talking and posting articles about Amy Winehouse she will just go away. She's just a drug overdose/suicide away from becoming a great artist...blah blah blah. She hasn't done anything musically. She sucks. Please stop talking about her. As Daniel Plainview said... " I'm Finished"

so true dave....the amazing thing is its not like shes some great artist that is screwing herself up. She's a musical hack who's never accomplished anything.
