If you’re a fan of country music, you’ve got a treat in store this evening as some of the genre’s biggest stars salute one of their own.
The Academy of Country Music will honor George Strait’s nearly 25-year career tonight by naming him artist of the decade.
Performers on hand to salute Strait include Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Jamie Foxx, Alan Jackson and Martina McBride.
Garth Brooks, ACM’s ’90s artist of the decade, will present Strait with his award at the ceremony, which was taped last month in Las Vegas.
The honor places the singer in an exclusive club that includes Brooks, Marty Robbins, Loretta Lynn and Alabama.
