Rob Thomas Plays It Solo

The matchbox twenty frontman lines up a hefty dose of solo dates for September through November.

Called “cradlesong tour ’09,” the fall run supports two CDs. Rob Thomas’ new studio effort – Cradlesong – drops June 30, although you can hear it now for free on Rhapsody and on VH1.com’s “The Leak.” The second album is Something To Be Tour – Live At Red Rocks, which also hits stores on the last day of June.

Details on Thomas’ fall tour are somewhat sketchy, meaning the artist has announced dates and cities but no venues. Stops include Hollywood, Fla., Sept. 23; Clearwater, Fla., Sept. 26; Atlanta Sept. 30; Houston Oct. 4; Oklahoma City Oct. 7; Milwaukee Oct. 10; San Francisco Oct. 18; Los Angeles Oct. 20; Tucson Oct. 25; Detroit Nov. 2; Boston Nov. 9 and New York City Nov. 12-13.
