The My Morning Jacket singer-songwriter/guitarist’s Tribute To album features four tunes from Harrison’s classic 1970 album All Things Must Pass in addition to two Beatles tunes penned by Harrison.
James recorded vocals and acoustic guitar for the tracks a few days after Harrison passed away in 2001, referring to the Beatle in the album’s liner notes as “a prime example of the healing power of music.”
The tracklist includes “Behind That Locked Door,” “My Sweet Lord,” “Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)” and “All Things Must Pass” from All Things Must Pass and “Long, Long, Long” from The Beatles’ 1968 The White Album and “Love You To” from The Beatles’ 1966 Revolver.
Tribute To, on ATO Records, hits stores Aug. 4. Fans can purchase and download a digital copy of the album July 7 – or pre-order the CD or a limited edition vinyl on this date.

A portion of the proceeds from the EP will go to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, which provides shelter to farm animals that have been rescued from cases of abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
James is also working on an album with his Monsters of Folk indie folk rock supergroup, which is composed of James, Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and M. Ward. The band’s debut is set for release Sept. 22.
