Bizkit To Limp For Free In Vegas

02:01 PM, Wednesday 7/8/09 Add |   |

Limp Bizkit makes its first U.S. concert appearance in 8 years on July 18 at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Yes, that’s right. Free. In Vegas. On a Saturday, no less.

So far only Europe has experienced the return of the Bizkit as the band rolled through its “Unicorns N Rainbows” tour across the continent wrapping up in Paris on July 5. So far, the Vegas show is the band’s only U.S. stop as the group heads back to the U.K. in August to appear at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, and then it’s off to Japan for Summer Sonic in Osaka and Tokyo.

But back to the free show in Vegas.

Here’s the drill: Tickets are first come, first served and will be handed out at noon at the venue on the day of the show. Each person gets one pair of tickets. Oh, and one more thing: it’s an all-ages show.

When Fred Durst and Wes Borland announced Bizkit’s return back in February, they said the band re-formed out of boredom.

“We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back.”
