Steely Dan Delays Gaucho Performance

02:01 PM, Wednesday 7/29/09 Add |   |

If you’ve been waiting all summer to catch tonight’s Steely Dan concert featuring a performance of the 1980 album "Gaucho" at New York City's Beacon Theatre, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Illness has postponed the show to August.

The new date is Aug.12 at the Beacon. Of course, tickets for tonight’s date will be honored on the new performance night, and those who can’t make it next month can get a refund at the point-of-purchase.

Gaucho, released in fall 1980, was Steely Dan’s last album before Donald Fagen and Walter Becker called it quits in 1981. Fagen and Becker returned to working and performing together in the early 1990s, and released the first studio album under the Steely Dan moniker since GauchoTwo Against Nature – in 2000.
