The Bravery Are Busy Boys

11:01 AM, Thursday 8/20/09 Add |   |

After spending the summer on the road with Green Day, New York City rockers The Bravery are gearing up to come roaring back with the follow up to 2007’s The Sun and The Moon and a fall tour.

The still-untitled project, due Nov. 10, is the band’s third disc of original material and was produced by John Hill, who previously helmed hits for Santigold and M.I.A.

Lead single “Slow Poison” will hit the air Sept. 15, just days before The Bravery kicks off a two-month club and theatre run at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Notable stops on the itinerary include Chicago’s Vic Theatre (Oct. 4), Philadelphia’s Theater of the Living Arts (Oct. 10), Atlanta’s Center Stage (Oct. 20), Belly Up Aspen in Colorado (Oct. 27) and The Warfield in San Francisco (Nov. 6).

Presale tickets are on sale now, with general ticket sales beginning Aug. 22.

In addition to recording the new Bravery album and touring with Green Day this summer, frontman Sam Endicott set aside some time to co-write three tunes with Hill for Shakira’s upcoming album, including her current hit, the Italo-disco throwback “She Wolf.”

Since there are still a few weeks until the new single by The Bravery debuts, here’s the clip for “She Wolf," followed by a mega-mix of some vintage '80s Italo-disco for comparison.
