House Of Kids Settles In

Posted on Thursday August 27, 2009 at 03:01 PM Add |

Do you live in the New York City metro area? Are you looking for a good way to spend some quality time with the kids that doesn’t involve tokens, bad pizza and a teenager in a giant mouse head? Why not take ’em to The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza?

No, I’m not suggesting you take them to a Marilyn Manson or Kid Rock show, I’m talking about House of Kids.

Although promoter Live Nation has been holding family friendly daytime concerts at various House of Blues venues around the country over the past couple of years, this marks the first time a complete series of shows will take place in one location.

Headliners for the run of Saturday morning events are Justin Roberts & The Not Ready for Naptime Trio (Oct. 17), Father Goose (Nov. 14), The Sippy Cups (Dec. 5) and Gustafer Yellowgold (Jan. 9).

Tickets, priced at $20 for individual shows or $70 for all four, go on sale Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. EST. Kids under age 2 are free.

In addition to allowing parents and kids to bond over their love of live music, each event will feature a gaggle of fun and educational activities.
