In case you didn’t notice, one of the best shows the good folks at MTV/VH1 ever came up with has quietly returned to the air.

“Behind The Music” premiered earlier this month, with a feature on King of AutoTune Lil Wayne. Other artists who’ve been the subject of the revived show’s new season include Pink and Bobby Brown.

VH1 will premier a new episode tonight that details the exploits of Poison frontman Bret Michaels. (To be honest, it’s hard to imagine much new info coming to light on Michaels. The world has pretty much seen everything – and I mean everything – he has to offer.)

Interestingly, the synopsis of the show on VH1.com contains the following sentence: “The 2009 season of ‘Behind The Music’ concentrates on artists in their prime, at the top of their game.”

Uh huh. I’ll give them Lil Wayne and Pink, but Bobby Brown?

(BTW, the best pop culture reference/nod to “Behind The Music” ever was when it was used as the Ghost of Christmas Future in “A Diva’s Christmas Carol” starring Vanessa Williams. Genius!)

“Behind The Music” airs tonight at 10 p.m. EST/PST on VH1, with repeated airings through the weekend.

Friday, October 2
Roger Daltrey – “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”
BeBe & CeCe Winans – “The Tavis Smiley Show”
T.J. Miller, Jen Kirkman, John Caparulo – “Chelsea Lately”
Joshua Bell, Tiempo Libre – “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien”
Shinedown – “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Lynyrd Skynyrd – “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”

Saturday, October 3
Dave Matthews Band – “Austin City Limits” – rerun
Lady Gaga – “Saturday Night Live”
