Billy Ray Cyrus Urges Miley To Return To Twitter

12:01 PM, Saturday 10/10/09 2 |   |

Most parents want their kids to twitter less, but not Billy Ray Cyrus.

The country music star is urging daughter Miley Cyrus to return to Twitter. The 16-year-old pop star quit the microblogging site earlier this week, puzzling her fans. She had more than 1.1 million followers on the site.

Her father tweeted Thursday that Miley “can’t leave everyone now” and said “we r countin on u.”

Miley Cyrus’ account is no longer active. In one of her last posts, she wrote that Liam Hemsworth, her co-star in the upcoming film “The Last Song,” wanted her to delete her Twitter account “with good reason.”

Good for Miley.  I agree with Simon Cowell who recently stated that he would rather be given a prostate exam by a man with cold clammy hands before he would twitter.  Or something along those lines.

Doesn't Twitters Terms of Service agreement state that you must 18 years of age or older to legally use Twitter?

And to Billy Ray Cyrus I say LEARN TO SPELL!

Billy Ray sounds like a typical show-biz parent. I hope Miley avoids the fate of so many of the child performers who've preceded her. It's a long and tragic list.
