“The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time,” said U2 manager Paul McGuinness. “As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 – this time U2 can go to them, globally.”

The U2/YouTube hookup will be the biggest concert ever streamed live on the video website. Show time is 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time, 4:30 a.m. in Paris and 12:30 p.m. in Tokyo.

For more information, click here for the U2 website and here for the official U2 channel on YouTube.

I'm sick of U2 and Bono is a pompous wind bag more concerned with being a celebrity than an artist.
