Dazed And Amused

Posted on Thursday October 22, 2009 at 01:01 PM 1 |

No doubt about it, winter is on its way. For some folks, that means skiing in Colorado and Barenaked Ladies and Robert Randolph & The Family Band will be there to help kick off the season at Vail Snow Daze.

The pair will close out the Dec. 7-13 event at Vail Resort, with Barenaked Ladies headlining a Dec. 12 show and Robert Randolph & The Family Band topping the bill for the Dec. 13 event with help from Bonfire Dub.

Although both shows are free, a $10 donation is encouraged for each, with proceeds going to non-profit organization Reverb which works to educate and engage musicians and their fans to take action toward a more sustainable future.

The free concerts are part of Vail Resort’s ongoing program to acknowledge the current economic situation.

In addition to the free concert series, the resort is offering Stay Free, Ski Free packages that start at $336 per person and offer a free night of lodging and day of skiing or snowboarding for every three nights and three days booked.

Complete info on Vail Snow Daze and resort packages is available at Vail.com.

Dave Berry is not the frontman for Guster. That would be Ryan Miller.
