Come on, don’t be shy. Tell us about your first concert.

Who was the band or artist? How old were you? Are you still a fan?

Everybody starts somewhere. Was it one-hit wonder?  Or a legendary act such as Nirvana, The Rolling Stones or U2?

No matter how many concerts we see we always remember that very first time. Just leave your memories in the comment thread below.

Bruce Springsteen - CNE Stadium, Toronto.  August. 27, 1985. I was 13 years old at the time.

I've been hooked ever since, I've now seen Bruce 34 times, the last time being Oct. 8/09 at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.

NOBODY compares to him in terms of quality of the music and the concerts. Plus he's such a class act and a professional.

He's got the best voice in rocknroll ever, his shows and the delivery of the songs always have such passion and feeling that is unmatched. Some of the best things about his concerts are what is sorely lacking among most other bands and singers, that thing is originality and spontaneity.

That's why the call him The Boss!

july 20th, 1992 - the cure (and the cranes) - richfield coliseum. i remember waiting at the ticket master for 5 hours prior to the tickets going on sale and still getting seats near the back of the floor. a great show, by a great band, in a great summer of concerts..

Eddie Money opened for Foghat in 1976 at the GREAT Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, CA. And I've been hooked on concerts ever since.

For those of you out there, the Swing Auditorium was the first place the Rolling Stones played in the United States. The Swing Auditorium was also one of the last places Elvis performed. It was first place Randy Rhodes performed live with Ozzy Osbourne.

It was a great medium-sized venue that had an audience reputation of booing opening bands off the stage if you were not good enough. I saw bands last only one song before stuff came flying on the stage.

Unfortunately, a small plane crashed into it in the early 80's and destroyed it. Still one of the bes venues I've been to.

October 25, 1990 at Old Winnipeg Arena - It was Judas Priest with Megadeth & Testament opening.  What a great first show - grade 9 I think...have seen Priest twice since (05 and 08) and Testament and Megadeth twice more each.  The Painkiller tour was way better than any Priest tour since and they'll be hard presses to match that - but they still  rock.

1985 (I think) Iron Maiden and W.A.S.P. on the World Slavery Tour at the currently being dismantled Reunion Arena in Dallas, TX. I still have my faded ticket stub at home and have seen hundreds of bands since but have not managed to get back and see these guys again.

Celine Dion - Fleet Center, Boston MA, August 21, 1998. Opening Night of the tour. I was 13, and remember it pretty well. It was a great show, the seats were terrible, but I still had fun. Still a fan, albeit not as much as I used to be, but still a fan... That night got be hooked on live music, to this day I have to see one show a year just to get my fix.
