Give ‘Em Shelter

08:01 AM, Wednesday 11/11/09 Add |   |

Slash has invited a bunch of his famous friends, including Ozzy Osbourne, Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro, to join him for an evening of music to raise funds for the Los Angeles Youth Network.

LAYN Rocks will take place Nov. 22 at The Avalon in Hollywood and will also feature appearances by Billy Idol, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, Travis Barker, Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockdale and host for the evening, George Lopez.

Tickets for the show are available exclusively online at LAYNRocks.com.

The Los Angeles Youth Network is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1984 with the mission of ending homelessness “one kid at a time.” LAYN provides shelter, food and counseling for the more than 10,000 abused, neglected and abandoned youth on the streets of L.A.

The organization’s programs also provide street outreach and transitional living programs under the direction of a trained staff. The goal for each child is to help them successfully complete a permanent transition away from life on the streets and to help make them an active participant in society.
