The Cribs North American Dates

08:01 AM, Monday 11/23/09 1 |   |

If you’re bummed you missed The Cribs' West Hollywood, Calif., and NYC shows earlier this month – the band’s only U.S. gigs for 2009 – the good news is that the British indie rock band is coming back sooner rather than later for a January North American tour.

The tour kicks off Jan. 13 at Lincoln Hall in Chicago and concludes Jan. 31 at the Venue in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Additional dates include stops at Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto (Jan. 15), Paradise Rock Club in Boston (Jan. 17), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (Jan. 19), The Parish Room in Austin, Texas (Jan. 23), Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco (Jan. 27) and Showbox At The Market in Seattle (Jan. 30).

Adam Green and The Dead Trees are joining in on the fun as support Jan. 13-22 with Jemina Pearl opening for the band Jan. 26-31.

The Cribs are currently on a European stadium tour along with Franz Ferdinand with dates through Nov. 30. The band then has a number of U.K. dates lined up, Dec. 2-8, playing Birmingham, London, Doncaster, Edinburgh and Manchester.

The Cribs, which is composed of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross, along with ex-The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, recently released the band’s fourth studio album, Ignore the Ignorant

Finally, I hope they actually play this time. They've cancelled way too many SF shows in the past. Love this band and looking forward to hearing some new stuff live. Didn't even realize Johnny Marr was playing with them these days...he sure does get around! Should be good fun. I do wish Adam Green was with them in SF tho, love him too.
