Gaga Gratis? Groovy!

08:01 AM, Tuesday 11/24/09 Add |   |

If the chatter on Facebook and other social networking sites is any indication, tickets for Lady Gaga’s upcoming tour are either impossible to come by or will cost you your firstborn on the secondary market. Fortunately, there’s a way to score some free ones and give your Karma a boost at the same time.

Virgin Mobile USA announced yesterday that it has signed on as title sponsor for The Monster Ball, which kicks off with a pair of shows Dec. 1-2 at Boston’s Citi Performing Arts Center and runs through late January.

Now here’s the best part of that deal: Fans who volunteer their time to homeless youth organizations will earn tickets for shows on the U.S. leg of Gaga’s tour through Virgin’s “Free I.P.” program.

The “Free I.P.” program is part of Virgin’s larger “RE*Generation” initiative that aims to address the issue of youth homelessness and help empower a generation to help its own.

“I’m thrilled to partner with Virgin Mobile on my tour,” Lady Gaga said. “They are a great brand and company and I’m really happy to see them encouraging my fans to help out homeless youth and the agencies that provide at-risk youth with critical support.”

Complete details about volunteering to earn free Lady Gaga tickets will be available at VirginMobileUSA.com/Lady-Gaga beginning Nov. 25.
