First Performers Announced For Grammys

The lineup for the Grammy Awards is shaping up, with Beyoncé, The Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and Maxwell among the artists scheduled to perform at the 52nd annual homage to recorded music.

Beyoncé leads the Grammy pack with 10 nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Halo.”

Taylor Swift is next with eight nods, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year (with Liz Rose) and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “You Belong To Me.”

Three-time winners Maxwell and The Black Eyed Peas are up for six awards each, and Lady Antebellum scored two nominations – Best Country Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Country Song (with Tom Douglas) for “Run To You.”

Produced by John Cossette Productions and AEG Ehrlich Ventures, the Grammys will hit all forms of media. Westwood One will syndicate the awards program throughout the world on radio, and Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and the Grammy Web site will promote the awards program on the ‘Net.

Of course, CBS handles the TV end, bringing all the Grammy fun and excitement we’ve come to know and love into your living rooms Jan. 31.
