New artists and bands added to women-centric "Lilith" tour are Loretta Lynn, Heart, Norah Jones, Cat Power, Sia, Gossip, La Roux, Beth Orton, Ceci Bastida, Erin McCarley, Frazey Ford, Julia Othmer, Kate Nash, Lights, Missy Higgins, Lissie, Marina And The Diamonds, Priscilla Renea, Rosie Thomas, Melissa McClelland, Toby Lightman and Elizaveta.
Yes, that is a long list. And that’s in addition to previously announced artists such as festival co-founder Sarah McLachlan as well as Beth Orton, Brandi Carlile, Jill Scott, Indigo Girls, Ke$ha, Mary J. Blige, Emmylou Harris, Colbie Caillat and Chantal Kreviazuk. So far, more than 60 artists and bands have been announced for Lilith, and you can expect more to be added to the lineup in the weeks to come.
“I’m happy they wanted me on this Lilith tour,” Loretta Lynn said. “I have never done shows just with other girl singers before. When I first started out, they said girl singers couldn’t sell records or concert tickets. We’ve come a long way since then and we’re gonna have a big time out there!”
"Lilith" also taunted us with more cities by adding just about every major market you’d expect a festival of this size and scope to play. New cities mentioned in the latest announcement include Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Edmonton, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Montreal, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., and West Palm Beach.
