Bailey Rae Gets Down To Biz

04:31 PM, Tuesday 1/26/10 Add |   |

TV appearances, a new album and her first U.S. tour since 2007. Suddenly, Corinne Bailey Rae is a very busy person.

If you missed Bailey Rae’s appearance on NBC’s “Today” show this morning, you’ll have more chances to catch the singer / songwriter on television, including “Tavis Smiley” tomorrow, “Ellen” Jan. 28 and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” Jan. 29.

The TV appearances are just part of the promotion strategy for Bailey Rae’s new album, The Sea, released today. Of course, there’s a tour to go with the CD, starting April 9 in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom.

Then it’s onward to Oregon for Rae’s first U.S. tour in three years, playing Portland’s Roseland Theatre April 11, followed by a show at Seattle’s Moore Theatre April 12.

Other dates include Chicago at the Vic Theatre April 22; Boston at House Of Blues April 30; Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts May 1; New York City at Webster Hall May 3 and Atlanta at Center Stage May 11. Last show on the tour is Baltimore at Rams Head Live! May 14.

Bailey Rae is also appearing at this year’s Coachella Music & Arts Festival April 17.

The PBS program “Live From The Artists Den” recently taped a full Bailey Rae concert that airs this spring. However, you can watch four songs from the performance right now, courtesy of Hulu.com.
