If there’s one thing that musicians love, it’s basketball. Okay, so maybe there are lots of other things, but there’s no question that plenty of performers are quick to lend their talent to events like NBA All-Star 2010.

The weekend long event is set to take place in and around Dallas Feb. 12-14, with the 59th NBA All-Star game played on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

On Friday, prior to the big game, four finalists will compete in the inaugural Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown at the Dallas Convention Center. The all-star panel of judges which will determine the winner includes hip-hop up-and-comer Drake, who will also perform during the event.

The whole thing will be streamed live on NBA.com and will air on NBA TV on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. EST.

The 2010 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 14 and will feature a halftime show that includes performances by Shakira with Alicia Keys and Usher. The game will air live at 8 p.m. EST on TNT, Score Canada and ESPN Radio.
