In the latest chapter of the continuing saga that is the Jacksons, child service workers are investigating how a stun gun ended up in the family’s Encino home.
An attorney representing Jackson matriarch Katherine confirmed the stun gun report, saying the weapon was confiscated without incident.
Katherine Jackson has been taking care of her son Michael’s children – Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II, nicknamed “Blanket” – since the King of Pop’s sudden death last June. Prince Michael and Paris are the children of Michael’s ex-wife Deborah Rowe. The identity of Prince Michael II’s mother has never been disclosed.
Attorney Adam Streisand confirmed that the mail-ordered stun gun was purchased by Jermaine Jackson’s 13-year-old son Jafar. According to Streisand, Jafar opened the package in a bathroom at the family home and tested it on a piece of paper. Family security and Katherine Jackson heard the weapon discharge, and immediately confiscated it.
Streisand said Michael Jackson’s oldest son, Prince, saw the weapon after it was confiscated.
“Blanket Jackson never saw or heard the Taser,” Streisand said. “Neither did Paris Jackson. Prince saw the Taser in possession of security.”
Streisand also said he didn’t think the stun gun incident would affect the guardianship case involving Michael Jackson’s children. An agreement struck between Katherine Jackson and Rowe calls for child psychologist to monitor the children’s welfare.
“All of the kids are happy, healthy and wonderful, and that is Mrs. Jackson’s only objective and concern,” Streisand said.
