Folds recently announced on Twitter that he’s mixing his new album and would have the “record in hand soon.” He revealed the tracklisting through a Twitpic and said he had just finished tracking the album with British novelist Nick Hornby.

“I'm working on an album with Nick Hornby,” Folds told Entertainment Weekly last April. “He's writing the lyrics and I'm doing the music. His cadencing is really different because he's not a musician. He's sent me about 18 sets of lyrics. He's disciplined.”

Folds’ most recent solo studio album is 2008’s Way to Normal. Last year he produced Ben Folds Presents: University A Capella. The album featured U.S. collegiate a cappella music groups performing Ben Folds Five and Ben Folds tunes. The album featured two songs performed by Folds – “Boxing” and “Effington.”

In December the singer/songwriter took part in NBC’s “The Sing Off” as one of the a cappella competition reality show’s judges. The show, which was hosted by Nick Lachey, also featured The Pussycat DollsNicole Scherzinger and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman on the judging panel.
