Food Poisoning Waylays Elton John

Fans looking forward to seeing Elton John perform in Tucson tonight will have to wait one more day. The piano pounder’s concert has been pushed back 24 hours because of food poisoning.

John was scheduled to take the stage tonight at the Tucson Arena in front of a nearly sold-out audience of approximately 8,800 fans, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

Now fans will have to wait until tomorrow evening. Same time, same venue, same unbearably hot Arizona city.

“Elton apologizes for the inconvenience caused due to his illness, but doctors assure him he will be fine for tomorrow’s evening performance,” Tucson Convention Center spokeswoman Kate Calhoun said. “If for any reason you are unable to attend the rescheduled Thursday concert, July 22, your tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.”

we saw the new pornographers in tucson last night (great show of course) and thank god Elton cancelled cause it kept downtown traffic to a minimum but actually with the nice storm that came through it was an unbearably hot 80 degrees.  jacket weather to us. might check weather.com before you make temperature comments.

Does it really matter that they got the weather incorrect? I, too, am more interested in the restaurant.
