U2 & Jay-Z = Australia & New Zealand

10:01 AM, Monday 8/23/10 4 |   |

U2 heads south of the equator the last week of November, tagging Jay-Z for the band’s special guest on dates in New Zealand and Australia.

The 360° Tour starts the Downunder leg in Auckland, New Zealand, at Mt. Smart Stadium Nov. 25 before heading to Australia, playing Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium Dec. 1, Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium Dec. 8, Sydney’s ANZ Stadium Dec. 13 and Perth’s Subiaco Oval Dec. 18.

The dates mark the first time Jay-Z has played Australia since 2006 and the first time the rapper has ever performed in New Zealand. Jay-Z performed with U2 at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate in November 2009.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 3. For more information, click here for U2.com.

U2's people will be thrilled when Jay Z shows up and everyone in his entourage thinks they are security chief or  tour manager pushing people around. Not a good choice for a support act.
