El DeBarge Joins Mary J. Blige Tour

03:01 PM, Thursday 9/2/10 Add |   |

In his first concert tour in 12 years, El DeBarge will appear with Mary J. Blige beginning Oct. 2 in Atlanta.

We won’t blame you if you’re thinking the upcoming Blige tour is getting a tad talent heavy. Earlier this week Blige went on BET’s “106 & Park” bringing tour mates Jazmine Sullivan and Miguel along for the fun.

While you can’t blame Blige for wanting to show off the fresh young talent accompanying her on the tour, the biggest news just might be a veteran soul singer’s return to the concert stage.

DeBarge also as a new album coming out – Second Chance – which is scheduled to drop this fall – his first album since 1994.

“After so many years away, I can’t wait to get back onstage, to feel my fans’ love, and give love back to them,” DeBarge said. “It’s been a long time and I wondered if this day would ever come. Now that it’s here, I am overjoyed.”
