Yes, those three herniated discs are still torturing SkyBlue. The three Canadian dates – Edmonton, Alberta, at Rexall Place Feb. 6; Calgary, Alberta, at Scotiabank Saddledome Feb. 7 and Vancouver, British Columbia, at P.N.E. Pacific Coliseum – were originally scheduled for December, but SkyBlue’s disc problems resulted in the shows being rescheduled for next week.

The shows will go on as planned, says Live Nation according to the Edmonton Journal. The mega-promotion company announced the performances will take place as planned with LMFAO’s other half, DJ Redfoo.

“Currently (SkyBlue’s) back simply cannot take the stress of a multi-song performance as the pain becomes crippling,” LN’s announcement stated. “Despite attending specialized therapy sessions over the past month, Sky’s physician concluded the herniated discs were still too damaged to allow him to perform and any physical activity for more than two minutes at a time could lead to major setbacks and negate any progress in his recovery.”

Aside from the Canada shows LMFAO is scheduled to play the Super Bowl Village in Indianapolis Feb. 3.

The Edmonton Journal says SkyBlue suffered the herniated discs while “doing LMFAO’s ‘Sexy and I Know It’ wiggle dance.” At least he can tell his medical insurance provider that it’s a work-related injury.
